Delivery & Returns
We offer free standard shipping via Royal Mail or Evri with no minimum order to the UK, Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands. Free Express Delivery with DPD next-day service is available on orders over £300 within the UK, (normally ships from our HQ the next day, so please allow 1-2 working days)
All other express delivery costs will be calculated at checkout, or you can contact info@saltykit.com for more details.
We aim to process and dispatch your order within 1-2 working days.
EU & International Duties and Taxes: Salty Kit is not responsible for any additional customs taxes or duties upon delivery of your item. These charges are not included in your order cost and must be covered by the customer.

Not Covered:
• Wear and tear from regular use
• Damage from misuse or extreme conditions
• Cosmetic issues that don’t affect function

Are dry bags really waterproof?
Yes—if sealed properly. Most waterproof dry bags use roll-top closures and durable materials like PVC or TPU fabric. Not all are submersible, so check the IP rating:
- IPX6 dry bags: Splashproof and brief submersion
- IPX7 dry bags: Submersion up to 1m
- IPX8 dry bags: Submersion beyond 1m
How do I seal a dry bag correctly?
To maintain a watertight seal:
- Pack your gear with space at the top
- Roll the top down 3+ times
- Now clasp the clips the opposite direction to the roll, this ensures you get a good waterproof seal

How does a Wet Bag differ from a Dry Bag?

How do I clean and care for a waterproof dry bag?
- Rinse with fresh water after saltwater sessions
- Air dry fully before storing
- Avoid abrasive cleaners to protect the waterproof coating
How can I test if my dry bag is leak-proof?
Try the tissue test:
- Place dry tissue inside
- Seal and briefly submerge
- Dry outside, then inspect—dry tissue = success
How long do dry bags last?
Years, when cared for. Heavy-duty models survive beaches, boats, and backpack abuse. Lighter ones may lose waterproofing over time (but can be re-treated)
